Adolescents and Children Together for Health (ACT for Health) is currently seeking two part-time interns to provide support on a collaborative initiative addressing the drivers of youth health and well-being, including racism and other social determinants of health. The initiative is designed to enhance adolescent wellbeing by promoting the use of evidence to inform policy and practice. Work will entail supporting the development of a program for Mental Health Month in May, 2022.
Incumbents will have an opportunity to support senior researchers with experience in taking evidence to action in a range of health and related environments, in a highly collegial milieu. Interns will be eligible for possible co-authorship on publications.
 
Responsibilities include: 
· Participate in research and data collection on the topic changing racist policy structures to advance adolescent flourishing
·  Summarize research and data for presentation and possible publication
·  Assist in the identification and recruitment of academic experts, community changemakers and policy officials at the national, state, and local levels who would be most likely to provide evidence-informed insights into achieving the goal of enhanced adolescent flourishing
·  Providing support for website updates, meetings, workshops, and webinars including, scheduling, preparing materials, taking notes, and development of meeting summaries
·  Additional research and support tasks, as appropriate to the interests and skills of candidates
 
Desired Qualifications:
·  Undergraduate or graduate student in fields including health (medical and nursing), psychology (developmental, social, clinical), sociology, criminal justice, public policy, law, behavioral economics, and ethnicity and race studies
· Interest in, and some knowledge of, adolescent mental health and well-being and related public policies
· Familiarity with conducting online searches of the scientific literature
· Enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative, virtual work environment
· Ability to engage professionally with senior research and policy experts and leaders
· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
· Willingness to perform administrative tasks as required
· Great attention to detail
· Strong oral and written communications skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; prior experience working with websites a plus
 
*ACT for Health can certify for academic credit depending on the student’s home institution.
